So the next farm is KOTOR characters. So we are to assume that we probably need 7* g12 characters. Do these characters even work well with each other?

I think that level of investment for a brand new faction would be highly unreasonable.

I have to agree with you there. Your logic is impeccable.
After chewie I won't be both in to panic gear or * any of them. They'll get there when they get there and if I don't complete it until the 4th go round so be it. If chewie event taught me anything it is that the devs will do their level best to make any prep you make irrelevant. Not worth the time or stress, certainly not worth the money
