So a voluntary game, is like crack...
(Just to be clear, this game has no physically addictive properties)
While I agree with the rest.. this I do not. Yes everyone can spend their money however they chose. This game and all games DO have addictive properties tho. They plan the colors and flashing lights (like the unlock or ☆ increase) to tickle the pleasure centers of the brain just like casinos do. Anyone who doesn't think games are addictive is lying to themselves and others."Daishi;c-1667615" wrote:

This I agree with. Like many mental health problems, because it can't be physically measured like a crack addiction, it gets less attention - but that doesn't make it any less an addiction. Mental health addictions can be prayed on just like physical ones.
You can see it already, games targeting addicts/kids - it's going to end up having the same black mark that cigarette companies/ads did for targeting the same group.
Personally I vote @Kyno for president - but yeah, you can't downplay the psychology of any MTX game now, certainly no less than a casino."Daishi;c-1667615" wrote:

So do commercials and TV shows, marketing doesnt make something addictive, it makes it desirable. Yes we all know that there are people that are more susceptible to this and have addictive nature to them, but that doesnt change what the game is, that is what the person brings to this situation.- They did double drops for JTR, which was an easier farm than this.
I really expect double drops this weekend - It's possible, but usually those are announced during the content update like the one from yesterday. So it seems unlikely.
