Leia can stealth and hide yet crank out 10k DPS and not be touched ( yes she needs RNG love for this, but potential is there ). She can always hit 3 times, with 3k non for each hit, and not be touched, and I fast as Rey.
I see Rey as being what maul should have been hurry up and get your attacks off before you die. That's part of why I think she is fine. Slow class cannons ( FOTP ) are almost worthless the way the game is now.
Some best teams in my arena don't even use Rey due to her low health. I rather face teams with Rey, than teams of Rex, 5s, echo, sun FAC, and RG which is what is happening on my arena. If someone has Rey I know I can kill her fast atleast. Heck I'm actually debating on benching Rey in arena because of what my arena has turned into, but then again I'm not sure I could beat them in 5 minutes without her, yet I lose her early I'm done for as 4 toons against these high health tons is not enough, considering one has to be RG, or 5s will destroy you be himself.
Don't think I'm thinking to put your ideas down or anything like that. I'm just trying to have a friendly discussion about her is all.
I love friendly discussion. I don't however like people crying because something is hard, or because they are jealous. I'm not trying to do that. I'm just pointing out that the math says Rey is out of balance.
Also practical experience says she is out of balance based on how many top teams use her in arena. But she isn't alone. In fact out of I think 75 or so available toons only about 12 are consistently seen in top arena teams. Rey is one example of how about 85% of the toons in this game range between garbage and mediocre. And a tiny handful are head and shoulders above the rest. I don't want to cry nerf every time Rey instakills me in arena. I just want to see more variety of teams and strategies useful there. If that means buffing some garbage toon instead of nerfing ones that people have worked hard for I'm all for that.
Here is why I don't think Rey needs nerfed. I believe she is build perfect for her job, also add a think leia,RG and dooku are built perfect. But that's about as far as people perfectly built go, and THAT is the real issue I feel with this game.
Most I feel are underpowered, or dont do the jobs they should ( looking at you tanks ). Some don't really preform as I feel thier class should and perform way better than they should, or just completly different from the class they are in ( looking at you 5s ). And some just down right op ( looking at you sun FAC ).
Rey is perfectly built for her job. And because 90% of the toons in game are built wrong, people feel she needs nerfed.
I think we agree on this pretty much. I stated before that I'm fine with her as is. But there is a legitimate balance problem. Most of the toons in this game are poorly equiped. She is one of a small number that stick out like a sore thumb. That upsets people, and it should. Hopefully the review of "under used and underperforming toons" that was announced raises others to her level, so that we see more diversity at the top.
It's kind of like having a football team where one player is on steroids and the rest of the team is suffering from low-testosterone syndrome, the solution is just give them some steroids too, not make that one guy stop taking steroids so he has low-testosterone problems too.
