I don't think the previous mythic(s?) were on the calendar initially.
They were added in as “recurring event” a while after the initial release of the December calendar, and then later changed to reflect them being mythics.
I could see it going either way for palp this time. Would make sense to have the mythic as a way to celebrate a palp rework/zetas, if that really happens
