Platoons in 'Snowfields' Phase 5 (Middle). Does the Platoon affect today's Phase or Tomorrows?

The description of the Platoon says it affects 'Snowfields', which is in yellow, for today. The description talks about AT-ATs. I'm having people say the devs said always the next phase. People say...

The text in-game tells you which territories it affects. Always trust the text in game over what people remember the devs saying. (And trust actual behavior in game over what he text says. :P ) There's also a chart floating around describing in detail which platoon rewards affect which territories.
