Ok I'm on Android so will get the event.
Anyway - android and iOS are the two major platforms so I'm guessing you all know someone with an android device you could likely borrow. I found this link about merging a Google play and game center ID.

Unfortunately that is only for GREE, INC games will not work with EA/CG game
Ok. I'll just looked into it again and the Facebook connect should import the data meaning iOS users who can borrow an android device should still be able to take part so please ignore the link I posted earlier. That should at least make some iOS users a bit happier.
@scuba @Starjumper
The game is saved in Game Center on iOS and Google Play on Android, so until there comes a solution to transfer the gamedata, the progress of the game is locked to that platform
only thing Facebook is used for is so you can get your friends to play the game
Thanks. I know that is why I shared the info from the developers with @Starjumper. "Triqui;194936" wrote:

Of course, that would require antiquated notions such as integrity and courtesy. Nope, gotta squeeze every last nickel out of the suckers for as long as possible.
That would require being dumb. I would fire my marketing director if he suggests that.
Yes, in today's world taking a long view and valuing the customer over maximum profits is "dumb". I wear that label proudly.
I do "dumb" things like giving away the product I spent years making to people who can't afford it or to military veterans. I do "dumb" things like keeping my prices reasonable. I do "dumb" things like not carpet-bombing my websites with ads even though it means I make less money. I do "dumb" things like letting people make use of things I have created without charging them an arm and a leg for it.
And if you actually are in a position to have a marketing director, and would actually fire a marketing director for suggesting what I wrote, then you are the epitome of the PHB and an excellent example of what is wrong with the corporate world today."JoshG;194968" wrote:

It is totslly the point. If the provider of s majority of your customers offer you a deal, it is a big difference that if the provider of a minority of your customers offer you a deal, of of it is split 50%.
If you sell things in stores, and Wallmart wants a special offer, you give them one."scuba;194976" wrote:

Thanks. Like I say I'm on Android so will get the event anyway but I was hoping there'd be some sort of a workaround to satisfy those on iOS that are unhappy. Unfortunately it's a no go"Qeltar;194981" wrote:

Anyone should fire a marketing director that says "No" to a deal with google based con that, yes. That is why you see special content in gaming platforms all the time, because those marketing directors earn a lot of money and they dont want to be fired.
After a fast search in google:

It is a frikking videogame, in a mobile platform, about some toons vaguely resembling the characters in a scifi movie. Stop acting as if they have raised the price of some treatment to cancer- This is the way the world of business works.
When I go to the opera they have free Valet parking for people that drive a Lexus. Lexus donates money to the opera. We all win.
On Taco Tuesday I can get a free taco if I have a team hat or jersey on if the team wins the game.
If you stay on a resort property when you visit Disney or Universal you can get in early or get priority passes.
I fly a lot and the airline I use gives me a first class seat even though I pay for business class.
It's called an inducement and it's used everywhere.
I am on Apple and don't see the big deal. :| "Triqui;194996" wrote:

Well hopefully they make enough extra money from the Google customers to make up for all of the Apple business they will lose...."BentWookie;195023" wrote:

I'm on Google and I do.
I never accepted "but he did it too!" from my kids when they were 5, why should I accept it from a major company?
It's no wonder corporations just do whatever they want these days -- customers are sheep. Not only do they allow themselves to get fleeced, they loudly argue about how wonderful it is that it's happening.
@Triqui - Your comment about cancer is offensive and far more indicative that YOU have lost perspective than that I have. I never said anyone was dying. I just said I didn't agree with uneven treatment of the two platforms. Nothing I have read here so far has changed my mind.
