Please increase the cap on unassigned mods

I know this topic has been raised many times over the years, but please consider raising the cap on unassigned mods. Even raising it from 500 to 600 would be a tremendous help. With the increased rate of new characters that are being added to the game, farming for new mods while also maintaining a reasonable amount of loadouts for various game modes is becoming increasingly difficult. This would be a huge quality of life improvement.

    What in anything I’ve said so far leads you to the conclusion that I have an excess of bad mods?

    No. Cull your bad mods and only keep/slice/upgrade good mods. As your quantity of quality mods increases you'll be able to leave more and more characters permanently modded, replacing good mods with great mods and even God mods, trickling the old ones down to B and C teams. Improve your mod stockpile, don't depend on the same handful to be shared by everyone. 
    People who make this complaint always have an excess of bad mods. It's one of the few things you don't want to hoard.

    All of my characters have full mods assigned and I regularly hold about 425 unassigned mods in reserve for new characters as they are added to the game. Because different potential mods are needed for each class of character and their bases stats (which I have no way of knowing ahead of time) it is challenging to maintain an effective reserve while still having vacant spots to hold mods while loadouts are moved on/off characters for other game modes like raids, TW and GAC. It isn’t “easy”.

  • That would require more resources on CG's part.  They won't even increase the mod loadout above the 200 we've had since they added mods 6 or 7 years ago.   300 characters, but not even enough to cover all of them.

    There are lots of backend and system functions they aren't prioritizing. 

  • just out of curiosity, how many mods do you have equipped or unequipped with fewer than 10 secondary speed?
