Potential SEE buff

I just came from talking about this with a few friends and I remembered a conversation around the start of last year about this.

Is there still considerations around buffing SEE? This is from both player and dev perspectives.

He isn’t bad by any means but he is sort of dated and left behind in comparison to every other GL. So does everyone still think he needs a boost? And if so how do you think he should be reworked or buffed to be a bit more viable?

It’s still sort of concerning that whenever I observe that SEE has been brought up from the devs there seems to be an assumption that he is perfect as is, even avoiding direct synergy with the new characters. It just seems more though that in reality and the players I don’t think that’s the case. Especially if you take characters like WAT and Armorer out of the lineup he looses a lot of viability just there.

Anyway again I’m just inviting everyone’s opinion on the matter, let me know your thoughts :)
  • I just unlocked him a month ago and so far I’m very disappointed. His animations take forever and tight battles with WalletRey can time out as it is and I’d hate to have that happen because SEE is taking his time linking up 2 toons. I think the big nuke is cool though but wished it took out the whole enemy squad like when Rey opens her wallet.

No. He easily kills GL Rey, which kinda is his goal in the movies anyway. (which he fails to do there, so he's actually kinda OP in swgoh)

I wouldn’t say easily. Without her ultimate sure but otherwise you’ll still be wanting WAT and it’s still 50/50 for the win or not. Even with WATs buff she can one shot SEE.

Nope, might lack on the defense section but offensively he’s arguably #1 because of his synergy with WAT and armorer. This is coming from a SEE owner.
My top 50 is full of only Kenobis and was able to reach top 20 easily with the Armorer thrawn NS sister fister combo. He’s fine a lot of people just don’t utilize him correctly

I'm also a SEE owner who is my only GL. Agree 100% with this. While it would be nice for SEE to get a buff, it would make him overpowered. He can beat all GLs with the right team, mods and strategy. Personally, I don't have experience beating LV, but I've heard it can be done.

Against other GLs, I can say with firsthand experience that win rates are reliably high. Armorer and/or Wat are required.

Maybe I need more practice with SEE. Against kylo it’s a low win rate for me. Maybe 1/10 even with WAT. Kenobi I have no chance at all. Lord Vader I can get to him but he heals too fast to kill. Rey is 50/50. Mirror matches and JML are the only consistent wins I’ve experienced. Haha I’ve seen a few say he is the best offensive GL but I don’t see it, well at least not yet. Maybe if I get armorer up I can be closer to beating some of the others.

I utilise him as good as I can without armorer. But there’s certainly no hope for me climbing to number 1 especially with kenobi or SLKR in number 1. They’re pretty much hard counters to SEE unless you’re really lucky. But I’ll see how I go after I get armorer up. Sort of wish SEE actually worked better with Sith. Sort of ironic that he works with units outside his synergy.
  • vs SLKR there's no need for Wat- you just need Armorer to put 3 stacks of beskar onto SEE.

vs Rey, I use the same team as the JMK counter, even putting health tech and beskar onto SEE.

The JMK counter is SEE, wat, armorer, thrawn, GBA. You need a relic armorer and very high health on SEE.
