To be realistic, though, that's sort of how CG positioned GLs - they were (originally) meant to be the Endall Beall (see what I did there) of characters. Now, that's no longer true, and certainly I am happy that you have to be somewhat creative to 3-star the PG events, but I do understand where those people are coming from: they feel they're not getting the ROI for a character that they invested heavily in.
That said, I have 3-starred them all (with the help of the community testing out weird and interesting team comps).
