I only attack when i have spare time.
...and if you are not aware of your arena, sometimes you will get battled right back. Your battle is then just a waste of your RL time and your arena battle. Having list of the payouts can help. But getting message from dude you swapped places with temporarily will do same thing, and you won't have to study a list.
Attacking out of payout time, yes i do that.
I do this even more, after joinng the Group. When you get instant feedback you know who you can target. Instead of timing my arena so I don't pass 10 or 20 spot until my hour, and then usually not finishing my 5 battles in time.... Now I can easily spread my battles out over 2 hours and not run out of time. Heck, I have finished in top spot by 5:10 PM.
Sometimes i snipe people and doing time out to lock my reward. Nope.. nope.. game should facilitate me, not the opposite dictating my real daily life activities.
You can do this even if you join the group. When you are in the Group, you can easily get to your top spots in time. By virtue of people NOT dragging you back overnight and during the day so much and not hitting the wrong guy who is going to bounce you right back which wastes 10 minutes and a battle. Once the guys in your payout are all at the top spots, you can have an open season... This how I do mine, anyway, cuz personally I don't want to look at a calendar and know I win 1 spot on Wednesday, 2 spot on Thursday, etc, lol.
People hate me for that? Sure it will.. it's somehow called "arena" for purpose, yes? To be competitive, not for making friendship :lol:
The "hate" is not real, personal hate. It's a group emotion which efficiently makes people remember your name. And you are safe to battle, any time. When group has so many "nice" members who avoid hitting each other, you become an automatic target for burning a battle or advancing pre-payout time.
