R2D2 event

Question

I managed to six star R2D2 with the following: Tarkin (six stars), Vader(7stars), TFP(7 stars), RG (7stars) and Snowtrooper (six stars). Took me several turns to beat it with this squad. That team is fast and between getting lit on fire by R2DS and Luke stunning us I was surprised I beat them. Keep forgetting that for the last tiers of these events all characters need to be seven stars. Can't imagine how difficult the last tier was. Anyway, didn't have big plans to use R2D2. I just hope my rebels are ready for the EP event as I desperately want to seven star him.

How did everyone else do in the event?

Barring a Zeta Vader leader, probably having Palpatine as leader would be the easiest way to beat the event. If that's the case, then well done getting thru the event without him.

Lol, I smoked through this like it was nothing. The only 2 toons that I have at gear 10 are Palps and Vader. The rest are gear 5-7 toons only there for the stars.

I couldn't use my EP.  He is only five stars. I've been focused on my rebels the last month to get ready for the event.  Otherwise I would of had all my empire squad seven starred and level 85.  Gear is always my problem.  Vader and EP are my only characters at gear IX.  I had Tarkin lead for the extra speed boost but that team was still faster.  I have to complete the speed mod challenge soon to be more competitive.  Glad it was easy for some of you guys.  Any plans on using R2D2?

Complete and utter bunk! Doesn't seem all that unreasonable to me, considering max gear is 11.  It's a rare event..  If everyone is able to easily unlock R2 to 7* then it kind of defeats the purpose.  I dont feel the event was unreasonable at all.  Only one phase, so you don't have to worry about saving cooldowns for later rounds.  I expected it to be harder to be honest.  I ran Zader G11, EP G11, RG G11, TFP G11 and Magmatrooper G9.  Cake walk!
