Radio silence
Anyone else notice that the amount of direct interaction from CG (not Jesse, who manages the forum) has fallen to basically zero over the last two weeks? It's a funny pattern. They participate here, ...

You are all sorts of backwards. John has clearly stated it is not the devs responsibility to post on the forums, no matter how much the great qeltar thinks it should be. Jesse's job is to post. He isn't thus it falls on him.
Sorry, but I don't think you are understanding what I am saying, which is why you think I am "all sorts of backwards".
Jesse's job is to convey to us information. But he cannot do that if he is either not provided that information, or is not given authorization to do so.
The person responsible for the current lack of updates, lack of communication, and other issues is John Salera, because he's the executive producer and runs this show. Jesse does not.
This thread is directed at the development team in general, and at him in particular.
And yes, there are many games where the developers do participate. One used to post here, until he was apparently gagged.
I work in QA as well and I can tell you that I would never want my devs talking to anyone. First, many of them are terrible communicators. Second, they usually speak in dev talk which the clients would never understand. Third, they LOVE LOVE LOVE to instantly fix things without the proper steps.
I could be wrong, but I am guessing EA_Jesse works at the same office as the devs. I bet he tests the software, I bet he can walk around and see what is going on. He is not in the dark, he absolutely knows what is going on. He might not know everything (evidently the devs make changes and don't communicate). Heck, I think it was John that I had to teach that GW was not random so not even the people at the top know everything. But to believe he has nothing he could share would be 100% wrong.
They are choosing, for some unknown reason, not to tell us anything. I am sure that isn't Jesse's decision, but again, his job is to communicate with us.
As far as the topic of we pay his salary. I don't think thats as offensive as you make it has been made out to be. It's 100% correct that what we pay doesn't give us control over Jesse or anyone for that matter. But, when you buy something you feel like an investor (even though we really aren't). A true investor definitely has the power to demand change. So, while we aren't that, to a lesser extent it feels that way and that is why people make those comments.
