I like to think of these events as a mix between marquee(with a release cadence) and chromium only - like Rex and maul were at one time. Ftp will get shards every month but won't be able to use them in raids/later phases in tb or gear 12 them for a long long while. If you're an ewok or ns fan you have to spend money to probably get the best toons out of that faction.
My concerns are this - since these characters are "released" will they be needed in platoons?
How many events should we expect?
I think an over saturation of these events might hinder spending more than anything. Talzin is unique because she has new debuff. While wicket looks great, if I had to choose I would go talzin.
Can we expect all these new toons and their events to come with new debuffs and buffs and will some be needed on let's say like a heroes journey a la r2 and CLS.
And with more toons added this way that means more and more events (yay for me) but I know a lot of players are concerned with the amount of time they spend in game.
I'm sure events will be available more than once a month and I'm sure the powers that be are monitoring these comments closely. So if you see a bunch of wickets and talzins at 7* rest assured more and more will be released in this way.
