RELIC DELTA ALTERNATIVE
I won't dwell on the negatives of Delta, needless to say I don't feel fuzzy happy vibes.. So how about an alternative piece of thinking to still allows progress, expansion and craft and money revenues to flow rather than hate:
Open R10 with future planning to further increase down the road for those percentage increases to make a top tier investment feel hard to beat.
Create a Stage 6 in conquest which can only be accessed by top tier Relic characters, R9 initially but then later R10, 11, 12 etc. etc.
Stage 6 prize could be an assignable Boost Token for a stat on an R9 character which could be as wicked as you want it to be. These tokens could work like DC so have an expiry of every 3-6months.
The boost token could be to either provide the options decided by players:
- Increased % to droprates on energy shard nodes - All or specific
- Increase targeted Character stats.
- Debuffing mechanics to opponents specific classes - Support, tanks etc
I would as far as revenue goes, a Stage 6 could be part of the Conquest pass +
The stage 6 tokens could be if applied to same characters over several applications could apply significant stat boosts. At the end of expiry periods defined, All or better still 1 token would be removed with decrease chosen by the player.
Something like the above would probably allow people to still build, craft and aspire to improve rosters and still give those big spenders the feeling of power and god mode desired to just sit back and have gloating rights.
