Relic Delta

Because of relic delta, today I've given up on my GAC. My counters are failing simply because they are at a lower relic level than my opponent's squads. I'm just doing one battle to get the reward and conceding the round.

I'm in Kyber 2, not because I have a monstrous GP or a lot of high relics, but because I'm strategic with my counters and really think about my attacks. Except for times when I'm very busy IRL or when travelling, I always play every battle I'm able.  Now it doesn't matter how strategic or dogged I am. If my opponent has higher relics, I have no hope of winning. So why even bother? 

I can't justify spending time on something that makes me angry and frustrated. I play this game because I like a challenge and I like being strategic and making plans - every 4 to 6 months I literally write out my priorities. There is no strategy required under this new system. 

Adding insult to injury, the current lag is insufferable. Literally a 5 to 10 second lag after every attack. It's like playing an online game on a dial-up internet connection. At least CG has said they'll look into that at some future date.

I really can't believe how broken this game is now. I currently lead a guild that has been around for about 5 years, with a solid core of active and enthusiastic members. The frustration among them isn't hard to miss, with several contemplating quitting all together. If enough of them do quit, I'll probably just disband the guild and quit, too. If I'm not having fun, there is no reason to hang around.
