Relic materials or Arc trooper shards, what’s more important/useful to you?

I'm going to say ARC Trooper for the simple reason that neither AV nor Droideka are priority characters for relics. If you have no other options to use relics on, you are better off farming shards.

Just because they are needed doesn't mean you should relic them up. B1, B2 are both more important for a separatist droid team and GAS event and the team works perfectly fine without a relic Droideka in TW/GAC/TB. Same for NS. Spirit, MT and Daka are all better investments than AV.

I don't know how widespread your roster is, but if you already have those characters geared, there are still better projects until you hit 40+ G13 than Droideka when it comes to usefulness.

Surely AV is more important to NS team than spirit and talzin? Daka at g13 with relics maybe not as her survivability keeps team going but AV is the heavy hitter of the team.

Also most videos/forum posts I’ve seen/read say b2 not lot of help for GAS event as hits weakly but B1 and droideka do the damage to beat GAS?

I’m a near launch player, December 2015, so roster is alright, not a whale at all, not even a dolphin but 4.84 million GP with 12 g13 toons currently

AV being the heavy hitter is s myth, really. In raids she is, because there is time to build up damage, but in PvP her main asset is her leadership. She won't build up nearly enough damage from 2 deaths and there will be no more than that before AV dies if your opponent knows what they are doing.

It’s going to be a very long time before we are doing the lsgtb mission with Arc, and those of us without G$ don’t really have a need for him atm for anything else. Slow farm for me.

I look at it like, farm the guy up to 7* quick, then go back to relic mats. I have him at 8/100, maybe two more weeks of refreshes.
