Resistance Trooper - Yeah nah or yeah nah yeah?

He used to be a beast, but then they fixed his bugs and replaced his bazooka with a handgun. Still hits ok but too squishy and too slow in the current meta.

I'm farming him 2 nodes a day. I think he has potential to be really good. St the very least I want to build a HardGWNodeBusterSquad with him, Resistance Pilot, Poe and Mace Windu.

He is foreseen as top 3 or so in special damage at 90, and has a way to gain TM. Those are 2 green lights for upside

Chasing the FOTM guys is Hard. I try to guess which guys have upside using the foreseen info and slowly invest in them. Think like NBA scouts with Draft prospectos, look for upside, not necessrely current power

At 90, not considering further additions, he would do THIRD best single target damage (not counting assists) with 8700 base damage, with a skill in a 2 turn cooldown (that's 13k crits). His basic is fifth highest, not counting the chance to Expose.
His speed becomes efectively 5th best in the game, because Poe will be 5th best and his expose give RT a bunch of TM. His 16.5k hp are above average for pure damage dealers.


So, the answer to your question is: do you want a top 5 damage dealer with top 5 speed, decent health and ability to gain TM?
