Did I miss sith troop and assassin being part of the darth nihlus release? Pretty sure they came as part of his series of events, unlikely to be part of anything else if they have already been used in a marquee
Argh I stand corrected I’d forgotten about them, although that was a heroes journey rather than a marquee
They were marquee characters who were later used in a hero's journey. You don't need anything specific to do a marquee event.

If he's a marquee then the rumors are moot. I've heard a rumor that he's going to be a Wicket/Talzin type event, in which case you would presumably need a specific faction, but not at 7*. If he's legendary, you'd only need 7* for the final tier, not to unlock him, and it would be the first time they ever required specific characters rather than just a faction. (You might think there's precedent for it with Chimaera, but it's unclear if that's going to become the case for character legendaries or if it's specific to ships.) So that's why I have trouble with this rumor.
