They'll become farmable shortly before the event. Just like Phoenix did before Thrawn. Just like Cassian's Uwing did just before Chimera.

Every stage will need different toons, it's unlikely that they ask for only 5 to use through the whole event because that's not how the movie worked.

But that is exactly how Luke's Hero's Journey worked. Rey and Poe don't share any screen time. R2 only popped in to find Luke at the end so highly doubtful. CLS version of Luke has zero to do with her journey. Generic Res seem highly unlikely for 2 reasons: 1. Luke's journey was all named characters and we're certainly mirroring that event here. 2. Allowing an all Res team under a Finn lead would make it a cakewalk event and that's not CG's style. And Falcon... they kitten well better not.
