The game is doing just fine. Cubsfanhan made a video showing the game was making 10 million a month or something like that.
However, I do understand the concerns you have because the communication from CG has greatly declined. It does not mean the end of the game but it does seem to show a lack of interest in the player base opinions.
It was about this time last year where they promised to improve on communication but, that seems to be unobtainable.
