Stranger for Crystals?

Someone I share a server with has got Stranger shards at least twice, but he also bemoaned how rarely they’ve shown up, so sounds like RNGesus has forsaken you. 

Was that for Conquest currency or crystals though?  I had a month off, so I still need shards for him.  He's appeared for me 4 times for Conquest currency.  However, like the OP; he hasn't appeared for crystals, but I don't know if this is normal or not.

I had also amassed conquest currency, and purchased I believe four lots of them. Several other such shipments have appeared since, just not crystals, so I ask your same point to DarjeloSalas​ - can you inform me of if the shard shipments were conquest currency or crystals?

Any word? I’ve seen Stranger shards for crystals in conquest itself, but not the store. It’s largely a non issue now, I’ll be only 10 or 15 shards off by the time conquest finishes

I forgot to report back. I think your observations are correct - Conquest Currency only in the store.

Why would you spend crystals on the most recent Conquest unit? You can still grab 90 shards over the next 3 months and feats are braindead easy. 

Because not everyone is an endgame player with all the right toons. I was barely hitting the 450 crate during the conquest run of the stranger, so yeah, I wanted to supplement with crystals because I wanted him quickly.

I got 5 stranger shards and luckily I saved some ChoreQuest bucks because for some idiotic reason $$CG$$ won’t take crystals. It’s purely luck of draw if he shows up in the ChoreQuest store.
