Rogue One Vader
My favorite scene in The Empire Strikes Back is when Commander Luke Skywalker and Vader battle it out in Cloud City. You know that part where Vader is about to reveal his true identity to Luke except he doesnt get a chance, because Luke with his three zetas overpowers Vader, whose only zeta is a leadership benefit, and tosses him to his doom. Oh wait... that didn't happen.
I realize this game isn't based scrictly on the SW movies, but frankly the imbalance of power between the light side and dark side characters in this game challenges suspension of disbelief. That imbalance is pretty obvious when you stop to compare an in game character like CLS to Vader or Emperor Palpatine.... who incidently was kicking Luke's butt in ROTJ even after he was Jedi Luke.
So where is our Rogue One Vader with his stunning combat ability put on full display, hurling people around like rag dolls? Where is our Emperor Palpatine who could only be taken out by Luke and Vader reuniting? The empire was already reworked, and yet the differences in power between rebels and empire in arena couldnt be more obvious. Older rebel metas like Wiggs and Chaze are still viable and joined by new Rebel synergy with CLS & reworked Han. Meanwhile I see people who investd heavily in fairly new Sith synergies having to convert to rebels in order to maintain their ranks.
So, now that we see what a second stage Commander Luke Skywalker looks like... where is our ultra powerhouse Rogue One Vader? The one that completely clobbered his son even as he held back his full power so he could try to bring him to the dark side... and ultimately left CLS crying like a little school girl.
