You could totally revamp the shard by allowing players to the trade in toons for shard tokens. For say 20% of the value. For example if you have a 7* toon(330 shards) you could trade in for 66 shards of another character(in equivalent currency)The character and gear slots would refresh like the other stores but with different stuff each time. That way players could be more inclined to try out different character formations rather than just trying to follow the meta, as they would be able to start again if it didn't work. Might also help keep people interested mid/late gam as currently if they've invested in farming a formation and they're not arena competitive, they usually just give upThoughts?

interesting idea, and you seem to have the correct exchange rate we would end up with. it will not happen. the game is designed to be a grind. you want to speed up the farm, there is a way to do that. they wont give that away in this fashion.

All of the no. Why would you want to trade in for 66 shards of another toon given the other toon might have been a single node hard farm? Especially if you have paid for resets etc? Also dont forget whatever gear investment you might havr in that toon, would 66 shards be enough for a g12 toon? Doubt it. Gear is fine in the shard shop. It got revamped not that long ago to be in the current state it is. Will also point out this is essentially a collection game so getting rid of one part of a collection for less of another is silly.

Do you not think it would be useful to clear out the lower lvl toons in order to help the team you're fsrming for?

No. Cus itd be the same as people asking to degear/de-zeta their characters. Everyone would just have the new shiny meta toons and 3/4ths of a "dead roster".

Very good point. Although if you'd need approx 150 cantina energy(15attempts for 5 shards) for 1 shard shop currency might deter them.

Not really because you are then saying all of the effort you have pur in so far isnt worthwhile. You would never get an exchange rate that makes it beneficial for you. As a business why would they? Just creates extra work for you. Only reason they would put it in would to sucker in really impatient people that for some reason wont spend on packs but mess about in other ways. A very niche market and also morally questionable.
