I’m not a fan of the ships update at all. It took one of my least favorite parts of the game that I only didn’t for crystals to become the most hated part of the game for me.
Battles are much longer than they were before. Not shorter as the update indicated they would be. Haven’t had a battle less than 2.5min since the update when I was routinely (no matter if it was a win or loss) doing battles anywhere from :35 to maybe 2min total.
Bc the battles take long the time frame to be shortened by 2.5min is a bad idea. With SO many changes, there isn’t enough time to go through what you need to in a battle now. At least if we had gotten any updates or notes at all before hand we could have gone in with somewhat of an idea of what we were doing.
RNG seems to play even more of factor now than it did before.
Before if you lost a ship early you could come back from it. Now it seems if you lose a ship early there’s no buffer time to make a comeback.
I get that over time things need to change and metas change etc... but for the fact that ships that are supposed to be elite ships in the game that were out in very difficult spots to obtain seek to be largely worthless with the update feels very disappointing. Months of hard node farming for many people to finally get a ship built up only firbit to be neutered by the update. Makes many feel like they wasted their time on something that has such a limited use now.
Aside from ships, the only other thing about the recent update that I feel should change a bit is in the new chat system. Have the ability to turn off gear requests in chat. And when creating a chat, allow the chat creator to set who can add who in the chat. But for chats to he set where anyone can anyone up to 500 people is already very annoying. Or maybe allow chat creators to give “admind” roles to people. Allow the ability to boot people from a chat etc...
