Ships dependent on characters??

So will ships be better depending on the characters Level/Star/Gear? Meaning if i have a 4 star Biggs, will his ship be unlocked and 4 star? Will the ships be dependent on the character which will h...

My thing about ships is what about multiple pilots for the same ship/co pilots? Han will probably get the falcon but will Rey, Lando, and/or chewie get it as well?
