Ships Meta

Mace can be pretty good on defense just cause they aren't a whole lot of good dispellers in ships. He can be fun to play with on offense with the target lock synergy too

My Arena team is full geared/starred clones, so made my choice of republic very easy.

I run Mace --> Fives, JC, Ahsoka, Clone Sgt and Rex, with Plo Koon, Biggs and Resistance in reserbve. all apart from Rex are 7 star ships (12 more shards for Rex!) and all at level 85 with all abilities maxed out.

I take 1-3 every day, 1st depends if I am around to play at payout.

Usually only drop down to 5-10 overnight so generally do 2 ship battles a day, quite often on auto!

Maximising Fleet ranking should be a top priority for all, the 1600-1800 Fleet Arena tokens I get each day, (plus the ones for challenges) let me buy 15 stun cuff salvages a day, which along with farming in LSB's allows me to craft on Mk3 Czerka stun cuff every two days...

Yeah, I might drop a few more places overnight, however when attacking the CPU controlled team rarely goes for Ashoka first, normally JC. Figure I might have to start doing more than two battles a day once people play catchup.

Should have most of the stun cuffs I currently need in the next month, then I can switch to Zeta and or gearing up other ships I can so can start to switch configurations once people have caught me up.

A Ships meta... hard to say, it's just those three capital ships but it's great to see that people can compete with any one of them, there's no one dominant capital ship/fleet... I was previously the only Executrix in the top 5 (158k power here but there's some 170k fleets on my shard, it's insanity, but I can beat them on offense.) The Mace-led fleets used to seem impossible to beat (another reason why they hold rank, people like me saw Mace and we're like lemme see if I can find an AA team instead -- they're just an easier battle) but I have been able to overcome the end-game Mace teams when I need to.

Biggs is the fleet meta. I don't think there's any team that doesn't use Biggs as tank.

And Scimitar as reinforcement. The one-two punch between Biggs tanking and then finally taking him out, and then Maul throwing retribution on either Wedge or Tie Fighter is generally battle winning. The rest is just mop up.

Biggs is overrated. If you don't run AA he's squishy. I run mace lead with clone sgt, JC, and scimitar. Clone can out tank biggs any day.

1. Saying he's overrated doesn't mean he's not meta. Everybody runs him. You think he's weak. You could say Maul is weak, because you run triple cleanse, and think Maul is overrated. That doesn't make Maul not the metagame.

2. Biggs is definitely more killable than Clone Sergeant. But it's easy to get his taunt up, as opposed to CS. To run CS as your tank, you need either Mace or Plo to throw taunt on him. Plo Koon is an otherwise squishy ship that doesn't bring that much to the table. So running him is a weakness in your lineup (and you don't use him). Mace is a good lead, but that means taunt on a 2-turn cooldown. One dispell, and clone sergeant can be safely ignored. Meanwhile, Biggs gains taunt back every time anybody target locks, and that includes people cleansing target lock if you run Vader.

Of course, you could say the same about Biggs and target lockers as you can about CS and a taunt giver, but there are lots of ships, including some of the best damage dealers, that both give out, and rely on target lock, so it's an important part of your team anyway.

IMHO there is no real meta for ships. I see various different compositions in top-tier arena which all work pretty good. Only Tarkin is very underrepresented with just one top player using him, at least in my shard.

I think you've confused "shard" with "shart."

Two very different things.

Difference between g10 and g11 crew seems quite negligible. Up to g10 pretty big differences, though, because in addition to crew power increasing, you get a level on the corresponding crew ability, which can be quite powerful.

I'm not that sure about the G10/G11 difference but I think it even made a difference in terms of speed (5ish) contributed by the crew. And speed.. is speed.
