Shoretrooper and Baze

So if your thinking about buying Baze OR Shoretrooper from shipments and planning on getting them to get to 7 stars, total is 330 shards and it'll cost you 31,360 Crystals total according to my calcul...

Gear up 3* Shore and he'll do nicely, doesn't need to be 7* to be effective. I would get him to 4* tho, it's worth the trouble of farming 30 shards from shipments.

@WrathofCaedus, is the difference between a G10 3* Shoretrooper and a 4* one really worth using that many purples for?

Yes, for sure. But unlike baze, shore can stay relevant at 4*...

I know it might be hard to quantify but what noticeable improvements would I see in my ST?
Is he that much tougher for example?

Yeah, I'm guessing it's mostly protection he gains (when using all 4 protection mods), it adds up. I honestly couldn't tell you off hand exactly what the difference is, except that I'll mow a 3* down while a 4* needs to be considered. Also keep his speed at base so he keeps his taunt longer. Chances are he'll be ability or buff blocked before he gets his turn & he won't regain taunt as a result.

Protection increases only from gear level (7+) and mods. Star level gives a modest boost to health and armor (via strength), but ultimately, you'll want to focus on gear level over star level for a tank. It will make far more difference. If you're already at gear 11, then I'd probably take ST to 4*, just because the investment isn't so high, but I wouldn't worry about getting to 7*. This is coming from someone who has a 7* ST. I got him to 7* in part to use him in p3 of heroic AAT. Incidentally, he works well under zeta Vader lead, both in arena and raids (can solo rancor with Empire team).
