OP’s suggestion is so self evidently unfair that it’s surprising that it’s still being debated 4 pages on. However, in the name of objectivity, the only way to make it less unfair would be to design it to benefit those people who live in the most populous time zone in the world (ie it would disadvantage the least possible population, although at “everyone else in the world” that’s admittedly still a rather large number). So, objectively, there is one slightly less half baked version of this suggestion that’s possible. I am sure one of the forum maths heads can show the workings but basically it’s good news for all our comrades in Kazakhstan. Kushti!
