Yeah, but the thing that you're not getting is that you don't HAVE to whale out all the time. It's okay to let a character go by and get them the next time. It's not the end of the game, let alone the end of the world.
They're not disrespecting you. They don't even know who you are. They're giving us the thing we asked for--Malak, fewer marquees, reasons to use characters we don't use, etc--but getting what you want usually comes with the unexpected result of realizing you didn't actually want it.
That's what some people are getting wrong. Once you start whaling out, you actually HAVE to spend more and more, every time you have to. Why? Because if you don't, all the money you have spent earlier will be useless. This is the classic casino way EA has gotten us used to. They got yelled at when they pulled the rope too much on big games like Battlefront, so they got pissed and they're getting extremely predatory on lesser means, like this game.
The sum is always the same:
Nobody: EA is a very good house
EA: oh we are so good, everyone says so, I think we deserve more money
