Seems more likely that they’ll stick with prequel trilogy and older toons and ships IMO, Fury fitting in with the B28, Sith Fighter and scimitar in that way.
Pretty sure they're referencing "Sith Empire Trooper" which used to be called Sith Trooper before the red sequel version was added to the game.
