The main difference for me, is with rebs it seemed pretty obvious how to build an arena squad. Wedge was a p2p toon at first. After he was fixed/buffed, lots of people knew what wiggs was going to do to arena. Lomg before he was even avaioable, and the farm was lower. Wedge was like the only new toon released for like a 3 month period. U knew u were going to get wedge wiggs, or you were going to build a counter to it.
People complaining about lack of variety and too many siths now seem to have forgot about how everyone was using wiggs just before this. Just about every single team in the top 20 of most servers were using wiggs.
Maul was buffed same time as boba fett kylo and resistance/finn. And at a time when a crapton of new toons were released. Like 5 times as many new toons as the last 2 years combined. Then they later started slipping in new sith toons, savage buff, and sith zeta. All the while adding new empkre and rebs and phoenix toons. Some people went down the wrong path, and that is a long way to go when u find out what the sith swuads are finally capable of. There was no sneak preview like with wedge, who was a broken exclusive at first. You knew he was "the one," thanks to whales who bought a broken toon. When his farm spot opened, he was a known commodity with no competition. Who else was released around then? Zam and B2.
Then theres the whole "+20%" evasion thing. I guess you could say u knkw what this means from the old ben meta. But i suppose i forgot how the devs math works.
