What tier or tiers did you play?
Predominantly tier 5
What GP is your Guild that is attempting the raid?
106 million GP
What teams did you attempt the raid with?
Personally, I use JTR, Troopers, Phoenix, Nightsisters, Darth vader lead, etc.
What part of the raid motivated or demotivated you to continue trying?
My primary motivation is just to push my guild forward. The primary de-motivation is that the raid is just not very fun unless you have specific teams that post high scores (JTR, Nightsisters).
What about the raid did you enjoy? What did you dislike about the raid?
I enjoy the challenge, but I think it is too difficult to do well consistently. There is a lot of RNG involved especially in phase 1. Doing my raid battles feels like a chore now.
My suggestions to keep the raid challenging without losing the fun:
Phase 1 - Nihilus basic should reduce the CD of drain force but NOT annihilate (like the real Nihilus). This will not disproportionately hurt teams that have high uptime on buffs and reduce the occurrence of those WTF annihilates that force restarts.
Phase 1 - Change the boss ability to read "steals protection when an enemy attacks with defense down DURING THEIR TURN. Why should counter/assist teams be made so much less viable? Also only apply the defense down if attacking during their turn and do not apply it if Nihilus was not the primary target (Daka/Talzin multi hits).
Phase 3 - put Stand Alone on a turn-based cooldown. I have had teams with high TM generation (such as JTR) die in phase three because I was so drastically outspeeding the Stand Alone timer that I could not use the ability and my entire team killed themselves by taking turns.
Overall - make ALL BOSSES immune to TM reduction, but remove stacking tenacity - Why did you feel the need to effectively kill the raid viability of any character or team based on debuffs that can be resisted? I have actually run a full g12 Rogue1 team under a zJyn and gotten ZERO damage on a phase 1 encounter (no debuffs would stick, and therefore no exposes).
I understand that as a company your goal is to make money, but making the teams we worked very hard on for other game elements worthless for the new raid while introducing tailor-made new chars behind a paywall just feels like a slap in the face and a tug on our wallets.
