Actually... If you do the math... It's not as horrible as you make it seem. It'll never happen but still. So playing devil's advocate here...
Traya shards: 145 to unlock
Tier 2: 1 shard
Say you do 1 raid every 2 days
145x2 = 290 days. To unlock
185 shards still to 7*
370 more days till 7*
That's not factoring in raid limits, life, and chicken...
So basically 2 years to 7*. 10 months just to unlock. Ya I don't see many people actually doing that option if faster options are available...
However considering this raid on HP alone is like 15x worse than HAAT. With fewer teams that are usable... Much less viable squads. Seems like the model for raid "progression" scale that CG used is the Richter scale... Rather than a gradual inclining scale.
TL:DR
Rewards need to be increased, more viable squads are needed i.e less restrictive choking by raid mechanics
