It’s a reward issue for sure but K1 shrinking doesn’t affect match ups. The ranking doesn’t change and you’re matched vs players near you in the ladder, so they’re the same opponents with or without shrinkage. You’re just fighting in the upper part of K2 instead of the lower part of K1.
