Smugglers run "timer"
Anybody have an idea as to why there's a text instead of a timer?

No.- My guess is that text is supposed to be a reference to the countdown clock in the code but it was inadvertently entered as a text string as opposed to a reference.
My recollection is that the smuggler's event has never had a countdown on it for when it starts. - so you dont know when its going live :D
- Just checked mine. Could have sworn there was a counter before I went to bed last night but that could be selective memory.

Selective memory. I've been seeing it without a timer since it appeared- Me too. Both last time it ran and this time I get “EVENT SMUGGLERS RUN CHARACTER PREVIEW” instead of a timer.
- According to the HeistHero, next Smuggler's Run is tomorrow 8th October
