If you are getting picked on in your arena shard, it's not usually because the other players want to be mean to you or collude against you, but almost always because you attack them during their payout and it isn't yours. People don't want to spend extra crystals or stare at their phone for an hour because somebody who isn't even getting paid that hour wants to muck about and waste everyone's crystals. If you don't want to participate, that's probably all well and good, but it's good policy to stick to your own timeslot and not mess with others.
