Hey wilftheman,

I joined this group because playing at my payout is hard. Having a group not attack you during payout and help lock you up has been huge. I still enjoy playing arena matches, I just can't always watch my phone at 6 pm.

We all still make the climb, we just help each other hold it so we don't have to worry as much.

You had been attacking a few people in the group well after your payout, so you got some of our attention. We're helping our friends. People have helped me, so I do my best to help them back.

Everyone in our group is nice, and we're welcome to anyone who places high enough. It's also been helpful to hear from your opponents how your team holds up on defense.

I think the end goal is to reduce stress and get more crystals. I tried to contact you because I wanted to help. You could easily get top 3 every day and make payout smoother, while avoiding pissing off people in later payouts.

The invitation is still open, I hope you join. We've had some former enemies join, and it's always fun having them. Plus, you'll get to see all the complaining we've done about you.

What I am asking here on the forums is wether or not, they intend for people to behave like they obviously are doing - or if it actually is (atleast from the sound of it) a competitive place where you shouldn't cheat.

I might be a odd one in this game, but I don't play it for crystals I play it for fun.

What you don't seem to get is that all I want is to be in a shard where these alliances don't exist, in PVP games you shouldn't accept anything. Optimally they leave this as it is and make a Shard queue system where you can queue to play vs other players on around same win % / GP as the team you queue with has.

You may not care "what rank i get of course" but most of us care. Crystals are a huge resource in this game and help a great deal with progression.

If they didn't have people from multiple payouts stuck in the same arena, there would be far less need to communicate.

As it is, thousands of crystals get wasted every day because people who aren't in that payout are blocking out others who are.

It's easy to say "people shouldn't collude", but I think the wasted crystals are a far bigger tragedy.

It's one thing to want to maximize your own crystals, but trying to minimize others is another (unless they are sniping you outside their payout).

It isn't cheating. It isn't a problem, the problem is that people from all sorts of different timezones are in the same shard. Most of the people we fight against we aren't actually even in competition with, they are just in our way. If people were rigging a competition that might be one thing, but trying to make sure the only people that are competing are the ones that are actually competing is another thing entirely.

They are reaching out to you as a good will gesture. If you continue making their arena activity more stressful and annoying then I would assume you are gonna be mad everyday trying to climb as they continually mess with you.

Are these people in your shard supposed to make your life easier just because you deserve a top spot? What if you are **** them off messing with their ranks and rewards, should they accept that and just allow you to do that everyday?

Great response and exactly right. I wanted to help him out, felt bad teaming up on him, especially since he was probably unknowingly ruining some of our payouts.

Seems weird he tried to tell on us to CG. As he discovered... That's exactly what the PvP forums are used for.

If anyone else placing in the top 20 stumbles onto this thread and wants in our group, send me a message. Until CG changes how arena payouts are done, this is the best way to reduce the stress and enjoy your dinner.

Colliding is definitely cheating, but it doesn't bother me.

It does seem odd that CG is cool with this blatant exploit, but threatens players with other exploits, that gave much less rewards compared to top arena rewards.

Arbitrary enforcement of exploits grinds my gears

If the people who run the game allow it, it's not cheating.

How so? I know someone's payout so I leave them alone during it. To do otherwise would be insanely dumb, shard chat or not. There's no rule in the game that says I have to play arena all day and mess with people, nor is there a requirement to make what I know is a tactically stupid attack that will just be erased. Knowing other people's payout times and avoiding by them so you don't waste effort and tick people off isn't in any way cheating. It's best to avoid making enemies in arena.

So this is the first I've heard of anything like this I have no idea how anyone knows who is attacking them I have no idea if I'm screwing anyone's pay out. As far as I knew payouts for me were at 5pm so I would think someone 2 time zones ahead of me would be at 7pm thier time. Not like it really matters anyways considering my previous guilds didn't do much of anything raid wise so kind of behind when it comes to raid toons. So I don't make much progression in arena anyways. When I feel like i should be higher than I am having 2.3 million gp. And constantly trying to better my squads but seems like no matter what i do I stay in the range of 30-60 I just figured it was due to being in a pretty old shard.
