So ALL devices running Android 6.0 or lower wont be able to update, or?

is it just the ones on that list? @CG_SBCrumb i have an older device not on the list, but running andoid 4.4, will it work? If not, if I am able to update to Android 7.0 will it work then?

The problem should be the hardware, which is influenced by the model; not the android version. A lot of apps are supported by 4.0, 5.0 and 6.0
