For all you thinking that it's balanced because it's beatable is a horrible use of logic.
That like saying a sports team that has won more championships by a huge margin that gets beat once still don't perform better because they have more talent or skill
To be fair I don't think anybody's saying that they're balanced; just that they don't want them changed because apparently the way of the future is to have a handful of toons with a dozen abilities while every other character languishes away in purgatory.
I think everybody has a different definition of what's "balanced." I see it is, can I beat a team with these characters without sacrificing a goat and prayer? If they're beatable within the confines of available characters then there's some degree of balance. If you can only beat them with RNG then perhaps they're not balanced. In this case you really need characters that can takeaway their bonuses, which requires strategy and that's what this game is all about.
And I believe that these characters are bad for strategy in the game. Most successful teams require a combination of a dps, taunter, dispeller, healer, and cleanser or tenacity up buffer, and a controller. You can theory craft over how to fit these skills into your team, or you can just blow a load of money on baze and Chirrut and there ya go. The only thing they don't do together is function as a controller, but I'm sure the next toon release will have all those skills plus that because, why not...
Again, if they're easily beatable with the right squad then why does it matter if they have that much synergy? It's obviously not that strong if it's beatable. If you couldn't beat them, then I would agree that they have too much going. Plus, we have yet to see what their counter-balance is going to be. The new Empire characters have yet to be released and they will surely counter them to some degree. All this back and forth and getting mad about things is useless. Invest in characters that inflict buff immunity, daze, healing immunity, ability block, and work them into your lineup somehow. I felt Chaze was OP at first until I figured out that Palpatine and Boba Fett hurt them pretty badly, Chirrut's cleanse only goes so far and his hots are not a great thing with a max Boba on the field.
