Ok first off always start off with 2 sims and never go over 6 at a time unless your farming mods then go 8. If you get nothing once, bump up one. if you get nothing again bump up one. if your at 6 then drop down to 2 and start over until you get something and the flow with it until it stops for 2 times and either go up 1 or down 1. I get my best drops between 2-4. Some of the higher level gear you need to start out at 4. Mods I do 8-10 no more then 10 . This system works best for shards and mods. Gear can get a little tricky because of the different gear levels. Hope this helps you all out.
