I suppose I meant "correct" from a few perspectives:
- better for your crystal/GAC division points
- more people doing it will likely cause CG to actually do something about it sooner rather than later
- Your opponent may do so, so even if you want to win 'fairly' if your opponent sets them, winning may be impossible for you if you try to 'play fair.'
It's a known bug, not an exploit. Getting free units, currency, etc would be an exploit. IMHO this is a bug that CG has acknowledged but not yet fixed, nor cancelled GAC, so IMHO any players that have seen it's a bug and causing time outs would be foolish to not set those as defensive teams.
Would I rather CG cancel and restart the GAC round and/or hotfix it with apologems? Yes. Has that ever happened before when a known bug breaks GAC? No.
Again, I don't think its wrong to do so, but it is exploiting a known bug. Its basically the definition of the word "exploit"- using the bug to your advantage (whether unfairly or not). My opponent has set a Reva squad with 2nd Sister, so I'll lose this round. I won't set 2nd sister next round on defense just to try and burn one of the opponent's teams. Winning that way doesn't mean anything to me, its not why I'm playing the game, but I understand not everyone feels the same way, and some would simply prefer to gain the crystals from winning. I don't think either way is right or wrong
