It was indeed called the Eternal Empire/Throne but iirc Valkorion was named the Immortal Emperor after he was taken over by Vitiate who was simply called Sith Emperor. I could be wrong, but neither of their titles ever used the word "Eternal"

Even if CG was "stealing" from Bioware, which is debatable, they're both part of EA, so they can't really steal from each other, sorry.

I mean if you google "star wars eternal emperor" the only reference to palps is six down and linked to the announcement ..... the rest are all valkorian or arcann, arcann was totally eternal emperor till I became eternal emperor and stuffed his whinging half face into one of my stronghold basements.

I'm? Palpatine? But really tho everyone seems to get mad when lore nerds want some consistency from the thing they throw money at and people poo poo it away. Stop it, lore nerds are valid and probably not far off what they are crying about.

Look, I've actively been Eternal Emperor. I killed the last one and recruited him in my other playthrough. I've killed an eternal empress once or thrice. None of them was palpatine. Theres a whole eternal empire, that's not the first/final order. With lots of cool characters that could come to the holo table. The Eternal Empire of Zakuul would be a neat faction. But this (and I don't doubt this comes down from high up) is kinda lazy, uninspired, and doesn't look good from a "professional" perspective. I would love a job as lore master or lore consultant, sounds like a sweet gig! "Palpatine Resurrected" "Palpatine the Final Sith" "Palpatine Reborn" "Palpatine, Voice of the First/Final Order" even "Palpatine, the Eternal" would have worked better for me.

Still, I have to apologize to CG for calling them out! I went very emotional yesterday. I'm sorry!

So it was Disney or Kennedy or whoever to just grab something good like a cool name and put it into the sequels, just to make them better and covering their bad story telling.

It's just a shame. I know it is not stealing due to they're owning the franchise. But in the end they destroyed the work of a lot great people, writing and creating for Star Wars. Took the good parts to create something realy bad.

It just makes me angry. They should delete episode 7-9.

Exactly! When I first saw the announcement I thought it was going to be Valkorian or Vitiate. Should have given GL Emperor Palpatine a different name more accurate to the lore. Don't ever recall him being called the Sith Eternal Emperor in the movies.

He is Emperor, He is the Leader of Sith Eternal, so i don't see a problem
