TB QOL request…long overdue

With how crucial operations are for the new TB, can we PLEASE get the ability for officers to set block/focus commands on individual operations? This is much needed.

It won't make them money and they would probably create fleet loadouts before they integrated more office tools which would be a better QoL improvement for a much much greater portion of the player base... and I wouldn't hold my breath for that.

One could easily argue that if it were easier for officers to manage TB, rewards would be increased and everyone would benefit. I've got people putting characters in operations with Sana Starros when we don't even have any in the guild. Not because clear instructions weren't given - but because those players missed the instructions, mis-clicked, or simply didn't pay attention. This is easily remedied by being able to block off specific operations. This would be huge for me and my guild and no doubt many others. If I could request just one change, that would be it. If I could request two changes it would be that they make the Scythe mission in P1 DS actually possible.

You can plan all you want, but no plan survives first contact with an inattentive guild mate.

Everyone but CG. Their profit motive is such that the only way they want players to get more rewards is for players to invest more ($$$/gear/time). CG investing time for something that will only benefit players and actively cost them the value of the additional resources is twofold reasons it won't happen any time soon/ever.

I don't think you're all together wrong - but I would like to think that on some level they do care about player experience at least on a basic level. They had no monetary motivation to update the mods UI, but they still made huge QoL improvements to that not very long ago. It wouldn't be wholly uncharacteristic of them to do something strictly to benefit the players. I know that's not a popular opinion, but there's evidence to support it.

Yeah, but that update brought Mod Calibration.
  • QOL = Quality of Life
Typically a QOL change is a functional, organizational, or graphical change to make it easier to play a game.

+1. We had several people wasting useful toons by placing them in operations that is impossible for us to fill.

  • to add to what @nfidel2k said (which is absolutely correct, but might be abstract enough that it's hard to understand) think about all the things you do that aren't actually fighting battles.

QoL improvements typically make those things easier or less time consuming or just less frustrating for whatever reason. It doesn't seem that it would be that way for being able to block off platoons, since by blocking a specific Ops mission you're not making it easier or less time consuming to donate to Ops missions, but in this case the QoL is that of the officer giving instructions to the guild, not the average guild member.

QoL improvements have a way of allowing you to focus less time and energy on the parts of the game that are necessary but not fun, and focus more time on having fun.
