Lol. The Thrawn ordeal was the most overreaction over nothing I've seen in this game in a while. I suspect mostly because nothing of substance was provided at E3 due to the subtle hints and other clues you seemed to be burdened by.

If you were a top 100 player you could have a got a 6* Thrawn without any resources saved prior to the announcement and spent $0. That's what I did.

Acquiring a legendary character at 7* the first time it's offered in a freemium game shouldn't be expected.

That overreaction goes both ways, including posts like yours which somehow concludes that everyone should get a 7* character. Asking for prep information does not guarantee the reward. It simply directs the work ethic. Normal.

I'm pretty sure that people in this thread think thrawns preptime wasn't enough, so what are we talking about here?

The point is knowing doesn't always change things.

If we were given the same time frame for the next toon things will be slightly different as there are not 5 new toons no one is using that would need to be built from scratch.

At most it would be 2-3 ewoks. :wink:

The timing on thrawn was tight but perfect. People need to learn how to be flexible.

prep time is obviously relative to farmability. If lets say 7* krennic is a requirement, knowing it 6 weeks in advance would do nothing for the players who don't have him.
So again, what are we talking about here? relatively more time than with thrawn, or equal/less time than with thrawn?
I only disagreed with the OP because i think it, and alot of people who agreed, are requesting relatively more time than with thrawn. I think that would take the challenge out of being prepared and would make a premium character a gimme. Obviously 1 day more wouldn't make it automatically make it a hand out, but you get my point.

An example of knowing what you need and still needing to work for it is GK. There are a lot of players that still don't have him unlocked and we have known the requirements since October and teams that are capable of helping get him since shortly after release.

In the case of thrawn they changed the farmability of the toons to help suit the time frame and made it reasonable, but still a focused effort.

Learning to stay flexible in this game without $$ is what f2p should strive for. Advanced notice for many players even with exact information wouldn't help because they live on the edge of having nothing because they act like they need everything right now.

I guess what I'm saying is it's always a lose lose, they tell us what we need and make a system so we can get it and it's "too much, too quick" but if they give us longer notice they will probably not give us better farming so, people still won't get him. Basically people will complain.

I'm just happy the OP doesn't think he deserves it and he among others are just asking for information, but information isn't enough if people are not going to act like they are playing a game that has more to it then arena.

The Ewok parts sound like marquee events, but Luke feels like something else. I don't think they'd go with another Legendary Event.

Could be a flash event/marquee event mashup, maybe? Like, each tier gives a certain number of shards per run, with the highest tier (the one that uses your characters instead of event characters) giving a total of 330 if you do it every time.

Not that ambiguous. We know we need his friends (i.e. probably Ben, Leia, Han), and we know it's going to be a step up from a Legendary event. Just start farming anyone that had connections to Commander Luke.

You folks keep saying "we know we need..." no. You don't know that. Stop saying that. "I think we need" if you really need to say something but at this moment we have no clue who we need

Except we *do* know that we need his friends, we have been told as much at least once by CG. So, no, I don't think I'll stop saying it. If you want to ignore not only the clues (again) but the actual information, that's your problem. I, on the other hand, will have anyone he could possibly be connected to at 7* by next month.

So the question is -- how can Ewoks be the obvious candidate for Luke when we are getting Hoth Luke?
