Territory Battles detail

It still boggles my mind on how you guys are so needy for information. They will tell us whenever they are ready and constantly asking about details will not get them to tell us info any sooner.

It was not announced that battles would be locked behind gear levels. As of right now there are some poss coming out stating minimum gear lvl 9 for territory battles. I'm not by any means believing this because I feel that would just create a massive uproar as gear lvl 9 can be steep especially if we are using full rosters and it basically locks out newer players from even participating in events. I do agree that it should be challenging but with no information really being provide. No one has any idea. People keep saying wait and see but from information I have seen from beta testers the waiting will be until December. I really hope not because that is a lot of stringing along but like I said no information creates misinformation and I would hope they would start giving us some timeframe even if it is the month of September or October. But saying nothing still after TB were teased weeks ago besides "wait for the coming days and WEEKS" has me worried.

Agreed there is that rumor mill too but I was just talking about the photos from the event. If people choose to believe unconfirmed rumors, it's their choice and really not getting fussed over. I doubt we will get much notice either- the Luke event happened pretty quickly, for example.

I like the idea though, it forces people to spend resources on toons other than arena. Most people focus primarily on their arena team only.

I respect that. I completely understand what your saying but when misinformation starts to get spread I feel like that would be a good opportunity for something to be said to clear up any misinformation. Are you still going to be saying this same thing if in October we still don't have a release date for TB because that's what I fear is going to happen. Little bits of information on how it works the next couple of weeks but no timeframe. And the speculation will continue to fuel bad info.

It's designed for all toons. It seems that there may be some requirements for each battle, but people will have to use all kind of toons

Isn't gamescom this weekend or some video game event? EA will be there so I have a good feeling we might get more details since the featured games are battlefront 2 and galaxy of heroes.

Excitement over Territory battles is real and rarin', but I wouldn't take footage from old builds as gospel.

There's a lot of "information" going around to make sure toons are geared to lvl 9 to even start territory battles. Is being able to even participate and help out your guild going to be locked behind a gear wall?

I can't speak to your mystery info, but I CAN speak more to Territory Battles. We have the first of many sneak peeks , features and breakdowns in the coming days and weeks, so we hope you look forward to them.

This is what I'm afraid of. I don't want to post images for fear of getting beta testers in trouble but word going around to guilds is HRScout and hRsol need to be unlocked and geared to at least 9. Also it sounds like territory battles are months off still, like around December. It's at this point where a lot of misinformation gets put out and you say there is information coming in the days and weeks ahead. The word weeks worries me as I was hoping December was not the correct timeframe people were discussing but with vague timelines and still no concrete information about territory battles and how they actually work speculation begins to fuel these rumors.

This stringing along with minimal breadcrumbs that are basically continuing to ask players to "check back later" are frustrating to say the least. The CLS event was great but it's not a playable game mode that the playerbase has been clamoring about. It's a playerbase starved of gameplay and info and it seems silly that we would continue to be starved of useful information.

I saw the two screens together, and I took the friend of a friend of a friend of a tester one about as seriously as the one from Facebook, especially since the source of one is likely the other.

But you're right, it's absurd that we have BEG for information. It's too bad EA's marketing department ties CG's hands so heavily when it comes to information about game modes like this. I can understand the short on toons like cls (they want you to buy packs). But to allow this much disinformation to flow through the community and not control the flow of info, is amateurish at best.

Just a thought, but I'm pretty sure the information would come out even if we didn't ask (or beg) for it.

Any unofficial information out there that people use to speculate is not in their control and always carries a grain of salt. They do what they can to prevent this but they don't control everything, trust me they don't want disinformation out there, they want to get us the proper information on a timetable they choose that lines up with the product release.

They have increased communication and while it may not be enough for some, it's better then it used to be. Let's be happy about that.

If the point of Territory Battles is to get to use every character and for everyone in the guild to be able to participate, why would there be a gear 9 wall?

Maybe for some missions. But do people seriously think they're going to be totally locked out? Folks need to stop listening to chatter...
