Pointless, meaning there is no merit at all. If you are at a disadvantage, it is because you have too many low-level characters on your roster, not because some members of the opposing guild decided to sit out.
Solution: there is none, but you can try concentrating your development on specific squads instead of trying to build your whole roster evenly. And stop unlocking characters you don't intend to immediately develop to a high level.
I honestly think u are just burying ur head in the sand if u think GP manipulation doesn’t happen, isn’t a thing.
It might be a thing. But it's a thing that does not matter as you have described it. What matters is the strength of your active roster as compared to your opponent's active roster. What matters is the number of squads you can defend with, and the number of squads your opponent can defend with. It does not matter if some members of the opposing guild did not participate.
It seems to me that you really have a problem with the matching algorithm, not whether or not the opposing guild sat some players. Their bench is irrelevant.
You are in the 120-139.9M GP prize tier. Both of your guilds fell within that tier. The problem you had is that your guild had 124M GP and their guild had 139M GP. Yes, they had the GP advantage. If you want that advantage, build up another 15M GP.
For the record, my guild is in that bracket too. IIRC, we are 1-1-1 since entering. No, we don't *sandbag,* we actually want all of our members to get rewards.
