I'm 40 away from getting my wedge to 6 stars and I'm level 67 at the moment, my hope is to get wedge to at least 6 star and or half way to 7 before I can farm his node! That way it'll be a quick finish and I can move straight to B2

Haha obvious he lied.. The drop rate is about 1,5/6.. So i just had bad rng but i did it.. Took me one year and i bet, there are many more ppl, who are still farmin fotp from day one (:

He probably started at more than 0 shards. I started farming FOTP for real after I already had him at 3 stars. Otherwise, he's either refreshing hard nodes far too much or just lying.

I'm just going to wait till they pop in fleet shop rotation

While they've added other crew membeers (and current non-crew) to fleet shipments, there is no guarantee they will add FOTP to fleet shipments. And if they do, we don't know how soon that would even be. If his ship were in the middle of the pack, by all means, wait. But he's the leading single target damage dealer by far; it's worth it to start now. If he ends up going to fleet shipments, you're still ahead on FOTP shards so you don't lose anything - however, what you gain is progress on magnificent ship in the interim.
