Useless characters? BH, ewok, OR, BH ships etc. all have their uses outside the legendary/journey event. Farmboy luke doesn't, but that's the only one, I believe.
Useless: veterans, t3, scavenger Rey, farmboy luke
Mostly useless: stormtrooper Han, Princess Leia, Old Ben
Questionable: Carth, Juhani, Canderous, mission, zaalbar
I list the questionables because there’s not a lot of use for them but they can be a fun, second rate team in pvp for GA or TW. They aren’t that great against meta teams though.

Actually I take it back. 0/11. Forgot I use Farmboy on my stun team.
And your metric of not being able to win against the meta means 90% of the toons in the game are useless. That's clearly not the case.

1. I'm not trying to have the last word;
2. Dont take disagreements with your opinions as offensive. Its not what I intended (and even if people intend it just don't sweat it anyway - its the internet);
3. It's ok to be wrong, most of us are a lot;
4. In my opinion, all of the toons you listed have a use in either a full squad or on a purpose built team in GA or TW. But I should have worded my post differently.
5. Disagreeing with someone doesnt mean you are their sworn enemy. ;)
