Apparently so. Not to mention caspgasp mentioned Rebels specifically. He's the event designer. *shrug*

I'm sure people will be upset with me for saying this, but honestly, we've been needed rebels since the Empire Assault event, which, according to some, happened eons ago and hasn't returned. If you were preparing for its return, you're ready for this.

The reality is tho, if people haven't already made rebels a priority they won't be ready. For most events it takes 5 decently high toons (7*, level 70+, G8+) which at a minimum takes a month, more realistically two months. Three days notice is nothing.

Three days is plenty of time to buy a boatload of chromium and credit packs in the hopes of getting a full Rebel squad ready to bring about the Emperor's demise.

Guys, there have been announcements a pretty while ago with hints that some kinda event which needs rebels is coming. Besides there already has been one and an announcement that every event will come back at some time. Besides some rebels are a pretty good idea to farm anyway (STH, Leia, Ackbar). Besides it's just an event, no need to finish it, and it will come back at some time. Stop complaining, farm your stuff and just wait for the next one if you can't do it now. It's not that everything is lost just because you couldn't complete a certain event at 1st try.

For my part: I don't know if I will be able to complete that new event. Maybe, maybe not now, next time for sure.

Let's be honest, if they'd given a month of explicit advance notice, there'd still be complaints that there wasn't enough time.

Without doubt, the whiners will always find a reason to whine.

In any case, has anyone found any info on the exact requirements or the reward yet?

It's going to go live soon for the Aussies so I'd assume that we should hear something before it actually goes live.

My complete speculation is Palpatine shards. In the form of yoda event.. I'd bet my left nut on it. My left peanut, of course..

My unbiased outsider perspective on the matter of assuming falsifications in the absence of legitimized data is that we'll get some Jedi Luke shards or Emperor shards.

Also, I'm fresh out of nuts from some poor bets, so do you mind if I borrow your right one for this? ;p
