The increase in methods for acquiring Zetas

Long ago, Zetas were not something that every character possessed; only a select few could be upgraded.
Now, however, every newly released character comes with a Zeta, and Omicrons have even been added.
Despite this shift, the amount of content available to acquire Zetas has not increased significantly.

As a result, many players find themselves unlocking characters only to realize they lack the necessary Zeta count, rendering the characters unusable.

Measures such as increasing Zeta rewards in GAC, TW, and episodes are necessary.

  • Not all Zeta's are neccessary, and it certainly doesn't make them unusable.

Even then this is a resource management game and of course it shouldnt be expected that f2p players can keep up with demand for all new zetas as they come out.

But this shouldn't be a problem as unless you are spending then its absolutely do-able to get all Zetas for a team you are working on in roughly the same time or less than it takes you to get the team to decent relic levels. I know this from experience as its been quite comfortable to zeta up my new teams fully while I work on their gear, and also place a few on the side too. The same applies for omicrons (and again it should be noted not all are essential).

This seems to be more of a you issue in that you want to be able to stick every zeta on every character as soon as you unlock them with zero thought to actually planning and managing your resources.

  • We are getting a character every 2 weeks at the current era rate (the conquest character accounting for the break between eras) and a legendary character.

On average that is 2-3 zetas each character requiring 40-60 zeta mats total. Every two weeks you get 12 from challenges, 7 (14 over the month) if you buy the era pass and 6 if you win both of your territory wars and 6 from winning both of the GAs over the two weeks. The zetas you buy from the currency shops are terrible deals and are mostly considered not worth it (as you said resource management).

That's 31/your 40-60 zetas or just over half of the income required to keep up. As the game progresses with this release cadence you will fall further and further behind on the zeta unlocks possible. This does not include the increased yearlyish 6 zeta requirement for a GL which will set you further behind.

You are right that f2p won't be able to get these unlocked as they come out and that's okay but at the current rate, if you had everything unlocked already and went f2p you'd slowly start falling behind zeta wise and instead of unlocking things later as you would with the characters, you end up getting the full benefit of 1 out of every 2 eras with no chance of catching up.

And again- not every Zeta is essential, zetas aren't required to be on characters as soon as they are unlocked.

And again as a mostly f2p player the rate is absolutely fine in putting zetas onto characters as they become fully usable.

For example- the new Bad Batch team, its taken me roughly 3 months to 7* them and get them to R5 and they have 8 zetas, so by your f2p cadence thats quite comfortable. Also you forget that most get a zeta mat a day from fleet arena, or lets say 0.9 mats a day- that changes your calculations to nearly 70-90 mats a month (I typically get a zeta a week) and at that rate I've got all GLATs 6 zetas too in that 3 month period.

This is also not to mention zetas given to us in monthly events like the Nightsisters and Ewok ones (and no doubt some I forget)- still what's the difference in missing those out and the close to 30 zeta mats from Fleet Currency when you want monthly "income" to fit your point...in fact you miss out a LOT:

    Fleet Arena Tokens (27 Mats)

    Fleet Challenge (24)

    Endor Esculation (2)

    Night Sisters event (2)

    TW 4x, 50% win (10)

    Conquest, hard (5)

    Calendars (2)

    Assault Battles (12)

    GAC (5)

Total (87 mats, 21.75 per week or 1.09 Zetas per week).

TLDR: Each new character does NOT average 2-3 zetas (its more like 1.5). The new schedule is an average of 3.5 zetas per month, the average player earns 4.35 zetas  per month.

This comfortably keeps up with new characters with some to spare if zeta farming is in line with bringing a 5 person team up to 7* relic levels (3 months,  13.05 zetas earned, 10 required for new characters, 3 spare for other projects.

I never said anything like, "I want to apply Zeta to all units immediately after unlocking."
Even without such an approach, the fact remains—mathematically speaking—that the current acquisition routes for Zeta are insufficient.
The number of characters and Zeta upgrades has increased dramatically compared to the past, yet the ways to obtain Zeta have not expanded accordingly. That's the real issue being pointed out.
If you personally feel that there's already more than enough Zeta, well, that's entirely up to you.

  • This has to stop, this stupidity, illogical and completely devoid of common sense. Because we're going to end up with only the suckers who put money into it, and even then, the amount of zetas you get isn't acceptable.

    IT'S VERY SIMPLE

Before, teams needed 2 zetas for a 5-character setup. Now, EACH CHARACTER ASKS FOR AT LEAST ONE, AND THE FARMING IS EXACTLY THE SAME.

There is absolutely nothing to discuss.

Any extra Zetas you can get (as the sentence says... they're extras) – you have to understand that not everyone has 600 million GP guilds that win everything and have all the characters. Those people don't have Zeta problems...

Seriously, you don't understand how hard it is for me to convince every Star Wars fan I know to play this game, and I love it, I want it to last. But it's getting harder and harder. So please, let's stop talking nonsense.
